Viyo Veterinary is used the most during the recuperation process after surgery or illness.

The first 2 days after illness or surgery are very important when it comes to intake of fluids and essential nutrients,
even more important than intake of energy. Thanks to its complete formulation and high palatability, Viyo Veterinary offers the perfect solution. From day 3, Viyo Veterinary can be combined with food to deliver essential nutrients needed in the recuperation period: arginine, taurine, L-glutamine and Omega 6 and 3 fatty acids.

Optimal functioning of the immune system is crucial after surgery to help the animal recuperate faster and better.
This is stimulated through:

  • 1) feeding the animal's gut
  • 2) delivering fluids
  • 3) providing essential recovery nutrients (arginine, taurine, L glutamine and Omega 6 and 3 fatty acids)
  • 4) providing prebiotic fibres (inulin and FOS) to stimulate intestinal functioning

Viyo Veterinary is the perfect solution and can be fed with a syringe in the initial phase (easier than using a tube). 14 days of recuperation is also linked to the functioning of fibroblasts whose principal task is collagen synthesis. As collagen content increases, the wound site strengthens. Sutures may be removed in 3 to 14 days, depending on their location. However, the wound's tensile strength and collagen content increase over the next several weeks; collagen turnover within the wound continues indefinitely. This second stage of wound healing is often called the fibroblastic or collagen phase.

Ensuring that all essential nutrients are well provided to the animal during the first 14 days after surgery helps to support optimal collagen content and fibroblast activity that continues after 14 days.
